What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Some are essential for the site to work; others measure usage or are set by third-party features embedded in a page.

How we use them

Our own website analytics is cookieless (Cloudflare Web Analytics) — it sets no cookies and does not track you across sites.

Our booking schedulers — HubSpot (the contact page and most booking pages) and Microsoft Bookings (the DataProtect and safety-committee pages) — are third-party embeds that set cookies when they load. They are off by default and only load after you allow “Functional” cookies in the consent banner; until then a placeholder is shown and no third-party cookies are set.

  • Essential — a first-party cookie (ark_cookie_consent) that remembers your choice, plus what the framework requires.
  • Analytics — Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless; no consent needed).
  • Functional — booking schedulers: HubSpot (contact + booking pages) and Microsoft Bookings (committee pages). Set only after you consent.
  • Product — to be added when PostHog product analytics ships (Phase 3).

Managing your choices

On your first visit a consent banner asks whether to allow optional “Functional” cookies. Necessary cookies are always on; optional ones stay off until you accept. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer, or block and delete cookies in your browser settings (some features may then not work).
